As shown, on July 26th, a team of balloon enthusiasts and I worked together to create this extremely large and beautiful balloon “arch.”
It took around 3 hours – from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. to finish making 2 of these arches. However, the experience was rewarding. I taught a few others how to make such an arch and some others had already known how to make it so we could get to work as quickly as possible.
The issue we were having at first was that balloons would pop the moment they hit the grass. We had to build the arch and tie the balloons on very carefully on the tarps so that the grass would not pop the balloons. I am happy with the way it turned out and it was a beautiful addition to the Indo-American Fair to come during the next two days.
I am excited that our team was able to complete this because it opens up new potential to be a decorator for events not only at HATCC but also at bigger events where a balloon arch may look very unique. The arches have varying sizes, so they can be made for any event you name!
